This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid is all-new. The main difference between it and all other Camry models is that it has a gasoline/electric hybrid powertrain that is able to provide exceptional fuel economy. The Camry Hybrid also benefits from the 2007 Camry full redesign, as well.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, efficient hybrid powertrain, stronger acceleration than many regular four-cylinder family sedans.
Cons:
  • More expensive than most other Camry styles, small trunk.

I bought one of the first Camry hybrids sold in my area. I have owned many cars, including two porsche 911s, and have never been happier about a car. I was not expecting to be excited about this car, I bought it to try to do my part for the environment/oil shortage. I am now excited. Its handling is exceptional, the mileage is better than advertised, it is well made and quiet. We traveled over 600 miles on our first 14 gallon tank of gas, and I am told the mileage will get better. Finally, and I never expected this of a Camry, we are getting much complimentary attention on this car, even having strangers come up as we fill or park the car.

  • Toyota is #1 - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Over the years I have owned and driven over 35 cars, the first of which was a 1950 Packard, five of which were Toyotas. Now I own a Camry Hybrid. This vehicle is very exciting to drive and anyone that has ridden in it with me cannot belive the technology that goes into these vehicles. I have never been let down by any Toyota that I have owned. I am confident that this TCH will give me many years of inexpensive happy motoring.

I was broadsided Saturday on a country road here in MA. I was wearing my seatbelt and the air bags deployed. Other than some soreness and bruising, I walked away from the accident. I will replace the car with a 2009 Camry Hybrid even though it may not qualify for the Obama tax credit for hybrids.

  • The thrill is back! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I havent been this excited about a car in years. My driving is different: smoother starts, more consistent speed (I use the excellent cruise control whenever possible). Great attention to detail in design and construction. I love the smart key and the quiet, comfortable ride. Were getting only 35 mpg on this tank, but we go up a mile-long hill to get home (wonderful going down, though). Miracles happen: we took delivery of the exact car we wanted (sunroof, leather) on the same day we first talked to the dealer!

I commute 60-70 miles/day. Never a problem. Fun to try to max out mpg using the display system. Very smooth ride. Feels like a more expensive car.

  • Better than expected - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I have never been a toyota fan, but this car is very impressive. The hybrid drivetrain is amazing, and this car is pretty much loaded with everything except wood trim. The mileage is superb (~37mpg overall). The new body style is cool.

  • A near perfect balance - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

So far this car is way more than we expected. We traded in our 99 Audi A6 gas guzzler for what we expected would be a a more frugal but inferior ride. We were surprised to find that our Camry Hybrid is both fuel efficient and a pleasure to drive.

  • Great car - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Great midsize hybrid. I test drove the Accord and the Camry and the Camry seats much nicer and looks better too. It rides well, handles easily, comfortable inside (my father in law is 63" and sits well). It took some practice to learn to drive it optimally, but I do get an average of 41 mpg on the freeway at 70 mph. If the traffic is bad, I get up to 55 mpg in bumper-to-bumper traffic! I drive it 40 miles a day on the freeway and is definitely worth the money. If you want a comfortable midsize hybrid, this is definitely worth a test drive. I would buy it again.

  • Still loving it - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Lived in California and drove more stop and go traffic mileage was 37 to 38 in town 40 on highway. Live in Idaho now and mileage is 40 to 41 in town and highway. Runs great, have 16000 miles on it. Have had no problems at all. Runs perfect, quiet and comfortable. Had difficult in the snow/ice in Idaho and will by studded tires for it next winter.

  • Worth the upgrade - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid
    By -

This car is worth the upgrade to Hybrid. I did not buy this car for its near zero emissions, the fuel economy was attractive but not the selling point. It is the extremely quiet ride and the performance between the regular 4 cyl and 6cyl is just right. The design and comfort of the interior are incredible with the standard Hybrid upgrades. Buy this car not only for its gas mileage, but for its solid quality, great looks, comfortable interior, and overall value. You will not be disappointed.
